In this day of age of TF2, people pretty much know that hats are important, but it shows how creative people can make items in 3d modeling programs.

To make it easier for Steam users to share their work, Valve introduced the Steam Workshop in which you can show your ideas. One with the highest ratings will get into the game. Some examples of Steam Workshop creations that have made it in are the Last Breath, Apparitions Aspect and the One Man Army.

As an artist myself, here are some of my favorite workshop creations which I think should be in Team Fortress 2.

The Time Travelers Threads

Great Scott!  For anyone who likes the Back to the Future Trilogy or just wants to pretend to be Marty McFly, then you would enjoy having the The Time Travelers Threads for the Scout. Coming in both in red and blue, you can pretend to ride about on an invisible double jumping hover board and batter Heavies over the head.

Pyro's Fury

For anyone disappointed with the lack of Pyro from the latest halloween ( other than having a glowing pair of wings and a tail ), then this is for you. The Pyro's Fury is basically a new taunt which summons a ring of fire around the Pyro. Show your rage to that dirty Sniper who head shot your only Medic and got killed in the process.

General Practitioner

For the classier Medic out there, the General Practitioner basically upgrades the Medic’s overcoat so it has a collar, protection on his shoulders, and the medic symbol on his tie.  Since some member’s out there like to be classy with their miscellaneous items and hats, (like me) you may want to vote for this to get into the game.

So yea, these are a few of my favorite creations in the workshop at the moment. There are hundreds more I could have written about in this blog but hopefully the community will be able to link some hats and weapons they believe should make it into the game and you never know, one day you can have your Soldier running around with a flaming metal box on his head and having American eagle gloves and a medal for doing a random TF2 event.

(If anyone ends up creating a Metal box hat and American eagle gloves for the Soldier, I want some royalties)
